Vancouver Draw Down is happening on June 20th and there are tons of free workshops all over town that are developed and led by professional artists.

1. Splatter and Sketch with Davie Poc

Create a beautiful mess and make something authentic in this fun workshop. Especially great for those who need to shake off the pressure of drawing something perfect.
2. Drawing Together with CreativeMornings Vancouver
June 20, 2015 | 10am-2pm | The Leeway at Emily Carr
Join this group project to create a large scale drawing. If Rachael Ashe is involved, it’s going to be good.
3.Drawn Here with HCMA Architecture + Design
June 20, 2015 | 11am – 2pm | Carver’s Pavilion, Granville Island
Hang out with a group of innovative architects to answer the question: What draws you to Vancouver? They will have some creative exercises to capture your responses.
4.Future in Colour with Rachael Stableford
June 20, 2015 | 11:15am-1:15pm | Hastings Community Centre
Explore historic images of our lovely city in this hands-on creative workshop. You’ll also learn how to transfer images onto wood panels (great skill for creating cool pieces for your home).
5. Learn to Draw Circles like a Pro with Instant Coffee
June 20, 2015 | 12-4pm | Second Beach Field House in Stanley Park
Always good to start with the basics. If you have circles down, you can do anything!
6. We’re in a Boat with Marisa Pahl
June 20, 2015 | 1-3pm | Creekside Community Centre
This makes the list because of the experiential factor – you get to draw in a dragon boat while learning about watercolour sketch. How cool is that?
